John Martin, Ph.D.
Chairman

Dr. John Martin is Chairman and co-founder of Chadwick Martin Bailey, Inc. and has over 30 years consultative experience designing and implementing custom projects in market segmentation, customer and employee value delivery for a broad range of industries in the United States and abroad. An expert in building and quantifying brand value, performance measurement, employee feedback, product and market development and market positioning, his present work centers on linking strategic vision, planning, and goals with customer and employee experiences to increase brand advocacy and business results.

John has been a central figure in developing Chadwick Martin Bailey's marketing analytics approaches, encouraging executives across a broad range of businesses to make strategic and operational decisions that are rooted in the marketing sciences. He has served on the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and has been a judge for the Massachusetts Quality Award.

An Adjunct Professor of Business at Babson College, Dr. Martin has previously served on the faculties at Babson College, the Boston University School of Management, and at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. John earned his Ph.D. in Marketing at Northwestern University, an M.B.A. in Marketing at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his B.Ec. (Honors) from the University of Western Australia.

John enjoys Cape Cod and manages real estate in his spare time as a hobby. 
 

Julie Kurd

Practice Leader

Julie Kurd is a Practice Leader for the Workforce Performance Consulting division of Chadwick Martin Bailey and has over 15 years of management and consulting experience in the disciplines of strategy, business transformation, analytics and talent development. Julies strength is in synthesizing, simplifying and translating macro-level strategies and concepts to practical, implementable solutions that yield results. Julie joins us from Fidelity Investments, where she was Vice President of Business Transformation, working on large scale initiatives to increase efficiency, improve effectiveness/productivity and reduce costs. She holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and the Myers Briggs Psychological Profiles talent tool qualifications.

As a mentor with Women Unlimited, a nationally recognized resource for cultivating leadership excellence, Julie mentors executives of Fortune 500 companies in structured 12 months sessions, one on one, in teams and on panels. She periodically teaches Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior and advises on graduate level theses at Emmanuel College's Master's in Business program. Julie earned her M.B.A. from Boston University and her Bachelor in Arts from Colby College, where she graduated phi beta kappa, cum laude and Senior Scholar. After hours, Julie enjoys skiing and sailing with  two children.
